About QuitIt

QuitIt was built on a simple frustration: every habit tracker on the market assumes you'll remember to open it every single day. If you forget, your streak breaks — even if you didn't actually slip. That's backwards.

The best habit trackers should reduce guilt, not create it. They should reward you for the days you succeed, not punish you for forgetting to log in. And they should work instantly, without asking you to create an account, verify an email, or hand over personal data.

Our Mission

QuitIt exists to make breaking bad habits as frictionless as possible. We believe that the tools people use to improve themselves should be free, private, and beautifully simple. No paywalls. No aggressive notifications. No "premium" tier that unlocks features you actually need.

How We're Different

Most habit trackers use a "check-in" model: you must confirm each successful day. QuitIt uses a reverse model. By default, every day is a clean day. You only log in when you slip. This means:

Privacy First

QuitIt stores everything in your own browser. We don't have a database of your habits. We don't know what you're trying to quit. We don't sell your data, because we don't collect it in the first place. This is intentional.

How We Make Money

QuitIt is supported by display advertising. That's it. No subscriptions, no upsells, no "pro" version. If you find the tool useful, simply using it and sharing it with a friend is the best way to support us.
